ELG Carbon Fibre
Frazer Barnes graduated with a material science degree before starting his career in composite wind blade design for one of the early pioneers in this industry. He progressed to engineering roles in SP Systems (now Gurit) and DML (a division of Brown & Root) before joining Cytec Engineered Materials in a variety of business management roles in the UK, US and China between 2000 and 2010. He spent a further four years in China working on the establishment of a vertically integrated carbon fibre composites enterprise and recyclable epoxy resins, before returning to the UK to take the role of Managing Director of ELG Carbon Fibre in 2014. Since that time, the company has developed into one of the leading carbon fibre recycling companies globally, with its products now used by customers in Asia, Europe and North America for applications in the automotive, rail, wind energy and electronics industries.
